The jewelry appreciation class teaches you about the types of jewelry and how to determine the gemstones. This is another activity recommended by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, which is hosted by the President Jewellery & Gems Limited inside the Holiday Inn Hotel on Nathan Road.
Mr. Alex Chan used a projector to teach mainly about Jade and diamonds, but many women participated because of the jewels. Some moms also brought their children to join the class.
In the course, I pointed at the pictures on the screen and asked questions like which one was the most expensive. I think everyone likes jewels, I'm starting to like them too.
Raw jade stones were also prepared, and explanations were given while actually looking at the products. It was a workshop for jewelry lovers.

宝石鑑賞教室
ヒスイなどの宝石について学ぶ。
宝石鑑賞教室も同様に、宝石に ついての種類や品定めの仕方など を教えてくれる。こちらも香港政 府観光局が推薦するアクティビテ ィ(英語)で、ネイザン通りにある ホテル、ホリディ・インの中にある プレミエール宝石時計店が主催し ている。
プロジェクターを使い、主にヒ スイ(Jade)とダイヤモンドにつ いて教えてくれるが、宝石だけあ って女性の参加が多い。中には子 供を連れたママもいる。
講習ではスクリーンの写真を指 し、どれが最も高価かなどと逐次 質問もしているが、皆、宝石が好き なのだろう、目を輝かせながら答 え、その値段を聞いては感嘆の声 をだしている。
ヒスイの原石も用意し、また、実 際に商品を見ながら解説もしてく れる。宝石好きには興味尽きない 講習会であろう。
